Immersion Therapy (™/patent pending) is a unique, innovative model of psychotherapy that addresses the evolving needs of individual mental health care and well-being. Emerging as a concept in 2002, tested as a case study in 2004, and published in 2006, Joanna Leigh's Immersion Therapy model is a solution-oriented, proactive amalgam of proven therapeutic techniques, science, medicine, mind and body health, and continuous caring support. Joanna Leigh's intent was to create a continuously engaging, stress-minimizing, real-world environment in which all Clients, from those in severe distress to those with less intense concerns could resolve or work through crisis or periods of transition.
The structure and foundation of Joanna Leigh's Immersion Therapy model was designed to provide Clients with an effective, personalized, and comfortable concierge therapeutic experience dedicated to both emotional and physical well-being. By utilizing Joanna Leigh's Immersion Therapy model:
- Clients typically benefit from an initial medical review that seeks to uncover any underlying causes of distress that may impact emotional well-being.
- Clients may receive personalized in-home care, with a flexible, longer time-frame than the typical therapy appointment. Each Client receives complete concierge attention, is never rushed or cut off, allowing for the healing process to works safely and comfortable as possible, and with the preservation of client integrity. This model is particularly beneficial for Clients in severe distress; Clients adverse to traditional therapeutic models, sessions and settings; and Clients from affluent families or publicly known individuals who might prefer a more private therapeutic setting.
- Clients benefit from a customized, flexible approach to treatment that works within the parameters of their goals and their lifestyle.
- Clients are treated in a manner that not only seeks to quell the initial crisis or conflict, but to help each Client flourish in all aspects of life.
- Clients are engaged in a friendly, conversational manner, utilizing the method of Conversational Switching (™ pending), ensuring Clients never feel as though they are in "therapy."
Joanna Leigh is a skilled psychotherapist, well versed in current medical literature, and trained in a broad spectrum of therapeutic approaches. Integrating this knowledge with her own style and an intuitive understanding of both the mind and the heart, clients benefit from a customized and flexible approach to treatment that is unique to each.
